The 5-second test - It should be clear within the first few seconds what you are selling, where you are based, and who your ideal client is. The idea is to find if your site is able to convey its purpose to a user within 5 seconds.
Branding - Is the overall aesthetic cohesive from your logo to the overall look of your site?
Navigation - Is your site user friendly allowing free movement across the site and easily searchable?
Portfolio - Are you putting your strongest work forward that grabs the users attention and conveys your brand statement?
Typography - Effective use of different fonts and sizes help to make distinct and well communicated messages within your aesthetic, Are your fonts easy to read and limited to no more than 2-3 font styles?
Call To Actions - Are you driving clients to your business goals? Are your Call To Action buttons distinct, appealing, and encourage action?
Responsiveness - Does your site load quickly between pages and are your images quick to load?
Consistency - Your site design should be consistent across all pages.
User Experience - The overall experience is essential to winning the user's trust, holding their attention, and ultimately winning their business.
Social Media - Are your social media platforms consistent with your site and your overall branding? Are you putting across the strength of your work and attracting your ideal clients via social media?
Mobile Optimization - Your users will access your website from desktops to mobile and tablets. Your site should be able to deliver similar experiences across all devices.
